A modern children’s room with trendy colors

In previous episodes of the design program, I mentioned children’s rooms and the colors I prefer for the little ones’ spaces. I also said that we don’t always have to be bound by traditional colors, like blue for boys and pink for girls. In this mood board, I’ve gathered furniture from various stores in Kuwait and other Gulf countries to create a children’s room with neutral tones, combined with yellow introduced as a striking accent in the space. The rug in this mood board is the key item from which I selected the room’s colors. Some pieces are solid-colored, while others feature patterns. The correct way to mix fabrics is that we can blend any pattern with another, but the crucial thing is to stick to the existing colors between those patterns. As you can see in the mood board in front of you, the basket has a pattern, the rug has a pattern, and even the bedding has a completely different pattern from the rest. What makes the design successful is that they all share similar colors.
